Still at it

I am still trying to make sense of the things that do not make any sense at all to me. Why is this so? When things seem to be simple and easily comprehended something comes and messes it all up and I end up thinking that it is not worth the trouble at all. Still, being in Cagayan de Oro city and doing pretty much the same thing as I did before which was being dense and confused is not really a big improvement from what I was doing before.

Then I was angry and confused, almost ready to lay down and die. This was of course too easy and life is not about to make it easier for me so it led me here to this wonderful city which they call Cagayan de Oro city and I have been trying to make sense of an existence which seems to be dogged by all kinds of adversity.

Mind Control

I need to gain control over my mind if I am to change my life. I shall use the conscious mind to gain control over my mind. I will look inside myself and see my real self, not the one which is presented to me by myself because that is not the real me. It is strange how we do not seem to know ourselves and this is easily demonstrated by how people interact with us. I have observed a certain pattern which seems to run throughout my life. I realize there is a pattern when some things happen again and again. I can easily say that history repeats itself and that would be the end of it but if I look a little more closely I should see the underlying reason for these repeated occurrences. As an example, one could take lateness or being late for an appointment. If this happens often enough this should be investigated and one might be surprised at the discovery of the underlying reason for this seemingly innocuous occurrence which might even be called a character flaw.

Web Experiments

I remember when I first put thought to electronic medium and I recall how I felt at the time. There was a sense of something great coming. I think this comes from trying out something new. Really, all of these things that I do again and again are experiments that have no real structure. The thought was to find my pages on the search engines. Silly thought.

Still, I must say that I enjoyed every moment of it even when I could not make any sense of what I was doing beyond that silly thought.

At the Blog Park

It seemed like a good title. It felt like a good idea and I was pretty sure that I would somehow find myself having the best piece of virtual real estate in the blog park. A year and a half has passed and The Blog Park is nowhere to e found in the pages that organize the online world. It is not a big deal, I was only playing. I was merely trying out the different resources that the internet afforded me. Part of the learning that is gained is in knowing that the game is not easy at all. There are rules and these rules keep on changing.

One of the things that makes the Blog Park have a backwater of an address instead of classy Park Avenue number is the fact that it really is not that all important. It was nothing more than a jumping off place, not a permanent address at all but a stepping stone to somewhere more meaningful. After a year and a half of doing this thing I have finally come to the conclusion that the sun needs the planets and the moons on these planets to make a decent solar system.

This is the Blog Park. I have had great pleasure in this blog park where blogs park their stories and enjoy the company of other blogs. One might say that Blog Park is like a car park or a trailer park except that it is blogs that park here.

One might call the Blog Park a blog directory except that not all blogs are listed here, just the ones we like. Could it perhaps be called a blog collection? Yes, could and well might it be called a collection of blogs but it seems to me that this is more of a Blog Park and will always be affectionately remembered as such.

Ching's World supports the Blog Park. And the Blog Park supports wholeheartedly the intentions of this website that calls itself Ching's World.

Welcome, Ching's World. Ching's World is warmly welcomed by The Blog Park. Over a year has passed since new words were written on these pages. I did not think that this site would survive the vicissitudes of outrageous fortune. The Blog Park has been the happy parking space for many a blog which has seen the light of day since over a year ago. The struggle for existence takes many forms and many shapes. Oftentimes, it would seem that the Blog Park would be innundated by the flooding waters of chaos and confusion.

When the waters receded, the Blog Park remained, serence in its existence. Existence is never a problem. It will live or it will die as it will and as it should. Like a tree that falls in the forest. If no one is there to hear it, would it still make a sound? Schopenhauer wrapped his head around it for a bit and does it really matter what he thought? To the hypothetical tree at least?

Whatever answers you may come up with, you always win when you come and visit Dumaguete, Cagayan de Oro City in the Philippines.

New Residents at the Park and a little bit about Adsense

There are some new residents that need to be welcomed into the Blog Park. One is about a City that says it is all about Golden Friendship and the other one is all about the scams and the scamming on the Internet. You may have noticed that I have removed the Adsense code that serves up the Adsense ads and the Google search bar from this site. Google Adsense has removed me from the list of publishers for violations of the TOA. I am not saying they did so unfairly and unjustly. That is not important or even remotely relevant. I am sure that I am not the first one and surely I will not be the last to be removed or as they say, banned. It is no big deal as my adventures into the Adsense Kingdom was a lark, an experiment which although very educational, was very much unprofitable financially and unrewarding psychologically.

The big hype about Adsense Wealth is, as far as I have discovered, mostly hype. It is a big way for others who came before and have learned how difficult it is to make money on Adsense, to make money from newbies who know no better. Hard as it may sound, there is a ring of truth to it as I have experienced first hand the hard sell, and the force-feeding of Adsense into all who would give it the time of day. Well, it is another day and another lesson has been learned.

I am sure there are people who make a lot of money on Adsense but it seems to me that the people who rake in the big bucks have to employ Black Hat methods to do it. And Adsense is so prone to click fraud and all other forms of fraud that Google has to scramble all over the place to prevent click fraud and other forms of fraud that are far worse than a few clicks.

This appears to me very self-evident that Adsense has some really serious flaws which Google needs to address. And I am not talking about Google becoming an even more efficient technological policeman and detective to thwart those that exploit the holes in the Search Engine's Algorithm. If something can be learned, it is that where there is money to be made, there you will always find people devising ingenious ways to get at that money my means that are not intended to be used.

I am sure that you have heard or seen the catch phrase, "Content is king!" and very often this is used in a sales page where in the same breath it tries to sell you a thingy or other that will defeat that catch phase and render it inutile and vapid and weak by rewording your content and adding a few more keywords to supposedly make your articles more valuable and palatable to the search engines. This is utterly ridiculous but such is the state of affairs which Adsense has created. Feed the robots with nonsense and they will love you. Is this the future of technology? I can remember Shakespeare saying, "it is like a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".

Google Adsense has problems which are far worse than a few illegal clicks.

New Developments in XU-AAA

The new website of XU-AAA has been added to the roster of sites that form the Underdogs World of which the Blog Park is a permanent member. Closely related to the XU-AAA site is the XUHS 1966 site which belongs to the Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan Alumni Association High School Chapter. XU-AAA which is also known as XU AAA will be holding itsAnnual Homecoming from August 18 until August 20, 2006.

The Annual Homecoming of XU-AAA used to be held during the celebration of the Feast of St. Francis Xavier which begins on the 4th of December and goes on for a week. While this was a good arrangement, there has been a bit of clamor for a change of schedule and the logical choice was to bring the Homecoming close to the celebration of the Feast of St. Augustine who is the Patron Saint of the Diocese of Cagayan de Oro. Arguably, more Cagayanos would be inclined to come home during the Fiesta and to hold the Homecoming around that time would be an extra inducement for out of towners to make the trip back home.

Something magical seems to happen whenever XU AAA holds its annual Homecoming. Nostalgia could be one contributing factor; the presence of old classmates seems to bring back old feelings and old thoughts which invariably transforms middle-aged men tnto rowdy teenagers. I have seen it happen and sometimes it is not a pretty sight as the old pecking order gets re-established. Mabuhay ang XU-AAA Silver Jubilarians 2006 which is the XUHS class of 1981.

I have added a new blog on one of my favorite topics. I hope this will be informative, enjoyable and useful to someone. I learned to meditate a long time ago and it is something which i believe is truly helpful and beneficial to do. One thing i must say is that it is not an easy thing to do. It needs a lot of determination and effort to do but the effects can be really great.

Meditation can relieve stress and anxiety.

Here are blogs gathered, collected, sorted, organized into themes and topics. There may be more than one way of talking about a certain topic and it may require a separate forum for this to be discussed fully. I shall be adding from time to time other blogs which I feel is needed to complete or round up this collection. I feel very strongly about life and existence and how mind factors in to this. I have done extensive research on the various systems which may be termed spiritual or metapphysical but which people simply call religious in nature. I believe that religion is the organizational aspect of spiritual life and as such, it has rules to guide the conduct of its members. It is my belief that the ten commandments of Moses and the eight-fold path of Buddhism are structures to help the individual begin his ascent into spiritual attainment. They have nothing to do with going to heaven if they follow those rules and commandments. I am sure that thee will be disagreements on this point but I welcome discussion if it will lead to illumination.
